Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information POSavoir collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what's necessary to run a great point-of-sale platform.

1. Who we are
POSavoir, Inc. is a Delaware corporation headquartered in Miami, Florida. For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, our EU representative can be reached at eu-rep@POSavoir.com.
2. Information we collect
From operators (our customers)
- Account data: business name, address, contact, user names and emails, role.
- Operational data: menus, prices, inventory, transactions, shifts, schedules, comps, voids.
- Device & log data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, access logs.
From end customers (your patrons)
- Transactional data: order details, tender type, time, location.
- Optional contact: phone number or email if a patron opts into a digital receipt or loyalty program.
- We do not store full payment card numbers. Card data is handled by PCI-DSS validated providers and tokenized.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Generate analytics, forecasts, recipes, and anomaly alerts requested by the operator.
- Detect fraud, secure accounts, and meet legal obligations.
- Communicate with operators about their account and product updates.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK)
We rely on contract performance, legitimate interests (security, product improvement), legal obligation, and consent (where required).
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Sub-processors that host and secure the platform (cloud infrastructure, monitoring, email delivery).
- Operators' chosen integrations (e.g., accounting sync), at the operator's direction.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Retention
We retain operator data for the life of the account plus a 90-day grace period for export, then delete or anonymise it. Backups roll off within 35 days. Records required for tax, audit, or legal reasons are kept for the period required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar), you may request to access, correct, export, or delete personal information. End-customer requests should be directed to the operator that collected the data; we will assist as a processor.

8. International transfers
Where we transfer data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards as appropriate.
9. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. See our Security page for details.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes
We will post changes to this Policy on this page and, for material changes, notify operators by email or in-product notice.
